On-site Sodium Hypochlorite Generation Systems

In mining applications, the use of disinfection technologies is seen as a important method of ensuring safe water from treated raw water through to water reuse. Mining and metals applications use proven technologies such as sodium hypochlorite to treat cooling tower water and process water.

On-site sodium hypochlorite generation is a proven, cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative disinfection treatment method. On-site generated sodium hypochlorite is stable and easy to feed; additionally less chlorine is lost to the atmosphere because of better mixing and retention in the treated water. ClorTec® on-site sodium hypochlorite generation systems reduce risks by eliminating the production of disinfection byproducts, helping to provide water that is free of pathogens.

The ClorTec on-site sodium hypochlorite systems generate a 0.8% sodium hypochlorite disinfection solution, a chlorine equivalent, using three common consumables: salt, water and electricity.

ClorTec units range in capacity from up to 1 kg/day or 2 lb/day to 1,360+ kg/day or 3000+ lb/day, while ClorTec systems are engineered and to meet any specified application demand. To meet varying application specific conditions, the ClorTec units gavailable as component-based or skid-based packaged systems.

- T Series: 0.9 to 16 kg/day or 2 to 36 lb/day
- MCT: 5.4 to 16.3 kg/day or 12 to 36 lb/day
- CT Series Midsize: 34 to 136 kg/day or 75 to 300 lb/day
- High Output CT Series: 204 to 1,360+ kg/day or 450 to 3,000+ lb/day
