Severn Trent Services to Show World Leading Technologies at Aquatech 2008 |

As one of the world’s leading suppliers of water and wastewater solutions, Severn Trent Services will be attending the internationally acclaimed Aquatech exhibition at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam, from 30th September to the 1st October 2008, where the company will showcase its latest technological innovations and host a seminar for the Aquastage presentation forum on water reuse. The benefits of Severn Trent Services’ revolutionary MicroDynamics™ microwave ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system will be demonstrated at the International Water Association (IWA) “Millennium Development Goals on Sanitation” conference. Severn Trent Services has received considerable global interest for its MicroDynamics™ disinfection system, and Aquatech will provide the ideal opportunity for visitors to come onto the stand and seek advice directly from the company’s technical consultants. The new electrodeless microwave UV technology offers a three year lamp life guarantee and has been designed so that there is no detrimental effect to the lamp if it is switched on and off - a feature not possible with systems containing electrodes.
Visitors to the show will also be able to see Severn Trent Services’ ClorTec® on-site sodium hypochlorite generating system, which has more than 3,500 installations worldwide. The company will also showcase its new ClorTec® SCT mini on-site sodium hypochlorite generating system, which is a compact, innovative new product that offers a cost-effective and safe alternative to the transportation of hazardous chemicals for municipal water treatment plants, reservoirs and networks, swimming pools, cooling towers and food and drink applications up to 2 kg/day.
For visitors interested in clean water filtration projects, information on TETRA® LP Block™, a dual parallel lateral underdrain filter floor for RGF and GAC filters, will be available. The system provides excellent distribution of both backwash air and water to offer more efficient bed cleaning and lower operating costs. Severn Trent Services recently has been awarded several contracts to supply TETRA LP Blocks for pre-treatment at desalination plants throughout Europe.
The full range of TETRA® tertiary wastewater filtration solutions will also be showcased, including TETRA® DeepBed™ filters, which now treat more than 1,000,000 m3/d in Europe alone, and TETRA® NSAF, a submerged aerated media process for the tertiary removal of ammonia (nitrification) from municipal and industrial wastewaters. Information on TETRA® SAF (Submerged Aerated Filter), which is used for BOD or BOD and Ammonia removal, will also be available.
