Severn Trent Services Adds Staff Reflecting Business Growth Strategy in Europe |

Severn Trent Services has announced additions to its U.K. staff reflecting expanded European business development opportunities. David Barrett has been named U.K. business development manager; Alan Pickett has been named European sales manager, disinfection; and Michael Baran has been named strategy and development analyst. Each will be based in the company’s water purification business headquarters in Minworth. In May, the water purification business will relocate to Tamworth.
As U.K. business development manager, Barrett is responsible for sales of the company’s filtration products and for relationship and framework management. He has 23 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, previously serving in sales and engineering positions for SPP Pumps, Grundfos Pumps and Clearwater Technology Ltd.
Pickett, as European sales manager, is responsible for managing European distributors of Severn Trent Services’ products and selling disinfection solutions into Europe. He has more than 25 years experience in international and multi-cultural business environments, including 15 years with Wallace & Tiernan – now Siemens Water Technologies – as export sales manager.
Baran, as strategy and development analyst, serves as a member of Severn Trent Services’ product strategy and development team, working to support the development of new technologies. He has previous experience as a field-based international water treatment engineer with GE Water. Baran is a member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environment Management (CIWEM).
According to Alex Lloyd, managing director of Severn Trent Services’ operations, “The additions of Barrett, Pickett and Baran reflect our intent to aggressively grow our European sales and continue to build our position as a leading provider of water and wastewater solutions throughout the world.” |
