To safely and accurately control the dosage of chlorine in water, there are two things to know. The first is the residual level of chlorine after the point of introduction. This indicates how effective the disinfection process has been and whether there is sufficient residual chlorine in the water to keep disinfecting in the distribution system. The second is what the residual level should ideally be. It it too much or too little? Severn Trent Services’ controllers can read a chlorine residual signal, a flow signal, or both to effect excellent, smooth and responsive control of chlorine dosing. Additionally, "before and after" chlorine analyzers can be used in conjunction with a flow input to provide very refined control of the chlorination process.
